Worship and Music
It has been said that worship is our expression of "worth" to God. At University there are many opportunities for expressing God's worth. Music is one of those ways. As God provides ability, we share that ability through a variety of means.
Our Worship Choir rehearses on Wednesday's at 7 pm and leads in
worship on Sunday mornings. Choir members are selected to serve
in a variety of ensembles which provide added leadership
and special songs for our worship services.
We also currently offer an instrumental group which rehearses in the sanctuary on Wednesday's @ 5:30 and plays in the Sunday morning worship service. All band instruments are welcome.
Handbells rehearse seasonally (usually at 4 pm on Sundays) and play not only in services but also in public venues. Our handbell group has played at The Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Santa's Village, Madison Square Mall, Bridge Street Town Centre, and various other sites in the Huntsville area.
Additionally, the children's choir meets during the school year on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 on the children's floor. They learn about God and the many ways we praise Him as well as provide special music for services and special musicals at various times throughout the year.
