About Us

University Baptist has a long history of service and ministry to the Huntsville community. Started over 60 years ago, the church has trained and sent out many ministers and missionaries who currently serve to the ends of the earth. We are a Southern Baptist Church associated with the Alabama State Board of Missions and the Madison Baptist Association.

We seek to serve our community and surrounding area and share the love that God has for all people regardless of your past or station.

We hold two services Sunday morning; a traditional service at 9am, and a contemporary service at 11am, with a Sunday evening service at 6pm. Connect with us, and see what other worship opportunities we provide. We would love to get to know you and have the opportunity to minister to your needs.

Ministries

As the people of God, our desire is to reach the needs of one another and those around us, whether that means next door, at work, where we shop, or wherever we may find ourselves. The goal is to be like Jesus, who went around touching the lives of people wherever he went.

Take a look around our ministries pages and find a place to plug in. We seek to meet many needs. Some of those ministries are not listed on our website but are available to you if you contact us.

We have an Alzhiemer's Support Group which meets every Tuesday morning, a large quilting group that meets, prayer groups that meet for breakfast, as well as other opportunities for service and growth.
